Carmen Vidal, who is considered the creator of the first cosmetics empire in Spain, was a visionary regarding the modern woman's concerns in skincare, viewing it as a synthesis of the balance between beauty and health.

Thanks to her enthusiasm and perseverance, in 1964 she created a cosmetics empire from a provincial town. Aged 54, she founded Germaine de Capuccini, becoming a pioneer by professionalising skincare and introducing the culture of prevention.
Carmen has done an enormous amount of social work over the years, offering women in the 60s and 70s training and a trade, that of beauty therapist, so in a way she helped to launch female emancipation.
In the 90s, the company become a leading smart cosmetics and anti-ageing firm dedicated to professional aesthetics and women's needs.

Our commitment to the planet
We are the first professional cosmetics company to commit to offsetting and reducing CO2 emissions. In addition, we offer a wide range of vegan products that are free from ingredients of animal origin, as well as eco-friendly refillable products. We are also working to reduce paper usage and ensure our products are more easily recycled.
Our Ocean Respect sun range is made with biodegradable ingredients that are free from micro-plastics, silicones, nanoparticles and filters that damage coral reefs.
Our social commitment
As well as developing products that have been dermatologically tested on cancer patients, we've been collaborating for more than X years with different initiatives that support the fight against cancer alongside the AECC, Fundación Stanpa and Run Cancer.
We are the first skincare company to include Braille on packaging for products sold through retail.
